During the game you may want to mine some gold. To do this, move onto a mine square and use the Mine Gold command in the Move menu. Each attempt at mining gold has a 40% chance of finding a gold nugget. But remember, although the amount of gold you have adds to your score, it will probably not help you get off the island.
